My Grandchildren


Amanda Roy

Born July 23, 1993 in California, Amanda is the 1st daughter and
the 2nd of 4 children born to my son, Richard. Amanda's Mom,
Shannon, was Richard's 1st wife. They are divorced.

Amanda and her biological brother, Richard Jr, and their Mom, live
in Parma, Ohio. Shannon has sole custody of both children.
As of 2008, Amanda is 15 years old.

I'm truly sorry to say that Amanda is the only grandchild I have, that I've never met. I've only seen
pictures of her that Shannon sends once a year. From what her Mom says, Amanda is a stubborn,
headstrong little girl. She does not like school, but loves to play soccer, where she is defense and
midfielder and says that she will play soccer even if she is in a wheelchair when she is older.
She loves to sing and never stops. Amanda is also on a bowling leage and "holds her own", according
to her Mom.

Maybe some day I'll get a chance to meet her. Maybe too, Amanda and her brother, Richard Jr
will see the family history web page I made. They are included too. If we never meet, at least
she'll have an opportunity some day, to learn of her family heritage on the "Roy" side of the
family, and to know that even though her father abandoned them .. she has extended family
that truly love them.
